[1:10] <kymara> not sure i want to mess with the scientists to do that. it was requested that for the mithril shield quest you had to be in the correct state (needing thread) before the scientists would offer to make you it
[1:11] <kymara> i'm sure there must have been a good reason for wanting it that way so if i change it so that you can get thread without needing to 'need thread' for ida then the fulfilment of that wish is gone
[1:13] <kymara> and when they do it for you they set you onto the quest state 'got thread' so that you can then move onto fusing it into mithril thread (yes, all very complciated but this is what was asked for) so if there's another way to get it, then you wont have been put into the state of 'got thread' so the wizard who fuses it will ignore you
[1:15] <kymara> its a shame in a way because there are a bunch of pretty images (silk thread, mithril thread, fabric, etc) and items that we will only ever see once (well i dont know if its planned to use them for mithril armor quest, nothing of that has been discussed with me at all, though i hear it is all planned.)
